Dusit

 
MarbleTempleDusit district is famous for being home to some of Bangkok's most prestigious landmarks, including the sprawling Dusit Palace complex, which encompasses the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall and the Vimanmek Mansion. This area is synonymous with Thai royalty and historical grandeur, providing a tranquil escape from the vibrant energy of other parts of the city.

Please note that the Dusit Zoo closed in 2018 and animals were relocated to other zoos in Thailand. Now relocated north of Bangkok to the new Thanyaburi Mini Zoo will become the new previously named Dusit Zoo. It is located in Rangsit, Phatum Thani, and opens to visitors daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm on weekdays and from 8.30am to 5.30pm on weekends and holidays.
 
One of the popular places to visit in the Dusit district are the Dusit Palace Complex comprising the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall and the Vimanmek Mansion. The Dusit Palace Complex is a symbol of Thai royalty. The Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall is an architectural masterpiece with its white-marble façade, while Vimanmek Mansion holds the distinction of being the world's largest golden teakwood mansion.
 
Another must see attraction is the famous Wat Benchamabophit which is also known as The Marble Temple.  This stunning Buddhist temple with distinctive Italian marble architecture is not only an architectural gem but also houses a revered Buddha image.
